Hey everyone! Let me tell you a little bit about how Millou Nails and Beauty came to be. It all started back in February 2012. I'm Kerry, and I took the plunge into offering GEL nails from a humble spare room in my home right here in Consett. My setup was pretty basic to say the least – just a desk and a grand total of five gel polish colours!

But you know what? Bit by bit, my little business grew from strength to strength. It’s been an incredible journey. From that spare room, I took the next step and rented a small space with just one treatment room. Slowly but surely, as things got busier, I was able to take on my first members of staff.

Fast forward to today, and I'm so proud that Millou Nails and Beauty is now a thriving salon in the heart of Consett, with a fantastic team of six! And we've been so fortunate to have our hard work recognized, having won an amazing eleven awards over the years. The name 'Millou' is actually a little piece of my heart – it's a mashup of my two wonderful children's names, Millie and Louis.

Throughout this journey, I've been passionate about learning and growing, and I've had the privilege of training with some incredible celebrity nail technicians like Gemma Lambert, Kirsty Meakin, and Katie Barnes. Now, we have a beautiful salon with nine treatment rooms, and we're absolutely buzzing to welcome you and make you feel amazing. We've even picked up awards like Acrylic Tech of the Year (that was me!), Nail Team of the Year, and Beauty Team of the Year. We can't wait to meet you all and have you experience the Millou magic!
